April Wrap Up + May TBR

I had high hopes for this month because I had my holiday, however I didn’t actually get much done. Preparing for exams at school once I go back, participating in camp nanowrimo and trying to relax all at once meant I did each thing by half. I didn’t get as much blogging/writing/reading done as I had hoped, but at least I did something. I know it isn’t quite the end of the month yet, but this is just the best time for this post and I doubt I will get too much more done.

For the future, well my exams are coming up in a couple of weeks so I am going to try to get a lot of posts written before then do I don’t need to worry about it but we all know how I am with writing posts in advance. I am hoping to get up some book reviews for books I have read in the past little while so be on the look out for those.

Also note, you can click on any of the covers to go to that book’s goodreads page.

Top Ten Unique Books on my TBR

I’m back again with another Top Ten Tuesday post (hosted by The Broke and The Bookish). Today’s theme is Top Ten Of The Most Unique Books I’ve Read but as per one of the suggested variations I am going to do the top ten most unique books on my TBR,¬†which will be more my opinion from reading the blurb with will avoid the problem of me only ever talking about the same few books which I have noticed happening quite a lot in tag/top ten tuesdays. For this list I will only be taking books off my TBR list, which for me is a list of books that I am definitely going to read.

March Wrap Up and April TBR

It’s time for my monthly wrap up and april tbr. I have my holidays coming up in April so I plan to get through a LOT of books. That means this will be a large tbr. Camp nanowrimo is also coming up in April so I plan to get a lot of writing done. Also, I have become more technologically literate so you can click on the book cover to go to the book’s goodreads page. What progress I have made!

Heyyy guys

This is a bit of an odd post. I have decided to introduce a co-blogger due to the large amount of homework I have. This way I can keep posting at the same regularity. So without any further ado… here she is:

Hi I’m Ella and I am going to be a co author to this account.

February Wrap Up and March TBR

just a note: I didn’t do much this month, school has been super busy for me so that has had to be my focus. Despite reading ten books in January I only read half that this month – although this still means I am on track for my goodreads reading goal of one hundred books this year.

What to Read??? An Age Old Question

Deciding what to read next is hard. There are just so many choices out there and seems like there is so little time. Trust me, having too many book to read is something I know. I currently have over 1000 books added on goodreads on the shelves ‘to read’ and ‘considering’. I have nearly 20 books on my bookshelf that I haven’t read. I have 8 books that I have to read for school. I have 3 more books that I plan to buy within the next month. It’s all to easy for the numbers to add up. I’m going to try to explain how I pick with book to read next in the hope that it will help both you as the reader and me as the confused being writing this post figure out the best way to tackle our TBR piles.

Top Ten Books on my TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. This weeks theme is top ten book on your fall TBR. Since I live in Australia it is currently spring, but still. There will always be books. So here they are:

The Heir and The Crown by Kiera Cass

These are both books that I have been planning to read for a while and I finally managed to borrow them from the library. Their covers are so pretty so I plan to buy them to add to my bookshelf. I have heard mixed things about these books but either way they will be a light and fast read.

The Death Cure

I’ve gotten part way through this book a few times before but never managed to finish it. I want to know what is happening and finish the series already. Plus once I finish it I can read the novellas which will go a long way towards helping me catch up on my goodreads goal.

The Mara Dyer Trilogy

I have heard so many things about this series so I plan to read them before the end of the year. My library has the first two and hopefully I will be able to find the third somewhere so that I can read it too.

Six of Crows

23437156 22299763

This is one of my friend’s favourite¬†books,¬†and with the sequel coming out TODAY there is no better time to add it to my TBR. I need to get to these books pronto.

The Grisha Trilogy

Because Six of Crows is set in the same world as the Grisha trilogy I want to get to those books first. I don’t want to be left confused…. however I know they don’t have many of the same characters and are completely different style wise… I guess we’ll see.

A Court of Thorns and Roses

I’ve read the whole Throne of Glass series so I need to get to these ASAP. I know where I can borrow them, but I just haven’t quite gotten around to it yet.

Morning Star

I read Red Rising and Golden Son earlier this year (my reviews here and here) and I want to get onto Morning Star as soon as I can. I am hoping that this series wraps up nicely because I want to love it, but I have a bad feeling about the ending.

I am half way through this book and I really want to get through it so I can see how it ends. I really like this take on a dystopian world and I am looking forward to seeing how it all wraps up.

Endgame Series

I am half way through the first book of this series and I am intrigued. One of my friends loved the first book in this series but I’m not so sure. It seems very plot oriented and made for the big screen. There are just too many characters for their development to be good.

I am looking forward to reading a lot more Jane Austen over the next few months and Emma is high on my list. I really enjoyed the movie Clueless which is loosely based off this novel, so I am excited to get started.

What books are on your TBR for the next few months?
