Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s top ten tuesday topic is books with unique titles. I love this topic, it’s so unique and I found it really interesting to comb through my goodreads and try to find books with amazing titles.
Dystopian novels were really big a few years ago (around the time of The Hunger Games), but they seem to have gone out of fashion recently. I’m guessing it’s because the genre got over saturated with too many books, most of which were pretty tropey. There was definitely a formula for how dystopian novels would go which got old pretty quickly. You know the typical…
This is going to be a slightly unconventional post. I have a lot of homework and exams at the moment so I thought it would be interesting to take a look at when/how much I read.
There are so many series out there with a massive amount of hype. Some of these series are deserving of it, others are not. However this is largely dependent on personal preferences.
There are many series that I find undeserving of the hype, so today I thought I would share a few of those. I want to take a moment to thank Ellyn from allonsythornraxx for giving me this idea with her overhyped books post.
Obviously this is just my opinion, so if you think otherwise that’s okay. I would be interested to hear your thoughts on these books in the comments so please do let me know whether you agree that they are over hyped or not.
I saw this tag on Katesbookdate on youtibe (her video) and the original video was created by ReadLikeWildfire on youtube (her video). Plus she’s actually Australia which is super cool and I didn’t know there was such a big Australia booktube community and I am only just finding them so yass. I wasn’t exactly tagged in this… but it seemed like so much fun that I just had to do it. And if you’re a big fan of booktube videos (or new to them) then I do have a post of my booktube recommendations so you should definitely check that out.
So, basically how this tag works is that I write down a bunch of character’s names on pieces of paper and put them in a cup, then I take two out and have to choose between those characters which one best fits the question. On to the questions.
So I am actually really bad at getting as much reading done and I want to. No matter how much I want to read and how many awesome books there are out there I always manage to fill my minuscule amounts of free time in a different way. I get the feeling that if I asked for a show of hands there would be a lot of people agreeing that despite how much they love books, they wished they could read more.
Now if you’re expecting tips or something then sorry to disappoint because I have no idea how to fix this problem myself but I just thought I’d look at the reasons behind this problem.
