Windwitch by Susan Dennard is the sequel to Truthwitch (my review). This is a fantasy series, I read the first book a year ago and really enjoyed it. This review will probably contain spoilers for the first book in the series so make sure you’ve read it first.

The Other Slipper Review

The Other Slipper by Kenechi Odogu is a novel based off the tale of Cinderella but taking it in a different direction. This book is set in a fantasy world that is reminiscent of the worlds fairy tales are usually set in. I read this book as an ebook which went really well.

I was given a copy of this novel by the author for review, this does not in any way impact my opinion of the novel.

Scarlet Review

The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer is an amazing series that I have currently finished but I have too many thoughts to lump the books into a series review. Beware this review will be from the perspective of someone who knows where the series ends up so I might overlook some details etc. You can read my review for Cinder to see my thoughts. I refer heavily to themes or topics in that review in this post so reading it will be incredibly helpful.

**also there WILL be spoilers for Cinder in this review**

Heir of Thunder Review

Heir of Thunder by Karissa Laurel is the first novel in the Stormbourne Chronicles. This is a fantasy novel with a touch of steampunk. This book is probably not one that I would have picked up on my own but I am glad that I did because a lot of the elements are ones I personally quite enjoy in novels and therefor have included in the novel I am working on. It was really interesting to see how Karissa did these things and I think reading this book has helped me to improve my writing.

Cinder Review

I LOVED Cinder ok, I’ll say it now and that position is not going to change. Note that any issues with pacing didn’t apply to me because I read this all in one setting in a car trip so… yeh. It’s really good and has got me super inspired to write a series just as awesome. Also take into account that at the time I am writing this review I have read the next two books in the series so this review might overlook some flaws because they make sense/are fixed later on. Read on to hear the rest of my thoughts.

Morning Star is the conclusion to the Red Rising Trilogy by Pierce Brown. You can read my reviews for the previous books in the series, Red Rising and Golden Son. Plus there is a second trilogy about the same world/characters a bit in the future (I think) that has the first book coming out later this year and I am so excited.
