I am currently accepting review requests.
Thanks for taking a second to read my review policy page. My time is very important to me as I’m sure you can understand so it would be great if you could make sure any books you email me about fit the following criteria. The genres I read are primarily
- YA fantasy
- Adult fantasy
- YA sci-fi
- YA dystopian
I might be tempted by other YA novels or adult sci-fi novels however please don’t send me review requests for YA contemporary, historical or paranormal novels unless you have another reason why you think I would enjoy the book (e.g. diversity or it is similar to another book I have liked).
I am most likely to accept requests from books already on my goodreads shelves (usually ones from large publishers) however I might also accept requests from self published authors, debut author and indie publishers so don’t be afraid to email me if you fit into one of those categories. I accept texts in the format of an e-book, a physical book or an audiobook.
Once we have corresponded and I have received your book I will read it. I will aim to do this in a month however it may take me slightly longer as I am also a full time student. After I have read your book I will review it on this blog, however I do reserve the right not to write a review if I feel like I have nothing to say. I also reserve the right to write a negative review if I didn’t enjoy your book. If you are not okay with this then please don’t contact me. I’m not going to lie about enjoying your book if I didn’t, however I do usually enjoy most books because I am selective about what I chose to read. I am more likely to say no to your offer than I am to read your book and not enjoy it.
In addition to book reviews I am open to author interviews, exclusive book reveals and guest posts. If after reading my review policy you think your book is one I would want to read please use the ‘contact me’ page to get in touch with me. Things you should include in your message are
- Summary of the book
- Release date
- Why this book would be a good fit for me
- Your expectations for the timing of a review
