I was tagged to do this by Ellyn at allonsythornraxx who is my fellow Australian, and who has continued to mention me in her posts despite me disappearing for basically a year (woops) but I am super greatful.
It was originally created by the perpetual page turner so check her out too!
(all bolded book titles link to goodreads)

A – author you’ve read the most books by
- Rick Riordan – 18 books
- John Flanagan – 15 books
- Cathy Cassidy – 11 books
- Maria V Snyder – 11 books
So basically all the authors I got hooked on as kid and read obsessively for a while.
B – best sequel ever
Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo! There was so much hype for Six of Crows that it didn’t live up to my expectations, but I thoroughly enjoyed Crooked Kingdom.
C – currently reading
I’m currently in the middle of two books, The Red Queen by Isobelle Carmody which I expect to be in the middle of for a while, and Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel which I am almost done with. The first one I am trying to savour, and the second I don’t think really clicks with me.
D – drink of choice while reading
I don’t really eat or drink much while reading? I drink a lot of water though so probably that.
E – ereader or physical book
Physical books for sure! I just love having them and I tend to forget about ebooks because they’re out of sight.
F – fictional character you would have dated in high school
Keefe from Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger, especially if we’re talking half way through the series once he’s opened up. He’s still got a fair way to go in actually maturing, but I really like his character arc and who he is as a person
G – glad you gave this book a chance
White Cat by Holly Black, I really didn’t think I’d enjoy this urban fantasy book because that’s not a genre I typically enjoy, but I loved this book
H – hidden gem book
Inside Out by Maria V Snyder! No one really talks about this author but this duology was one of my favorite dystopian series around five years ago during the peak of that craze.
I – important moment in your reading life
I got into rereading books when I was around 13, and before that I would never have even considered rereading books. That was a step that led me to being a book blogger and being so invested in the book community.
J – just finished
I haven’t just finished anything… I don’t think I’ve finished a book since December
K – kind of books you won’t read
I read pretty much anything, but I do get bored of reading things that are unoriginal suuuper typical for their genre
L – longest book you’ve read
The Stone Key by Isobelle Carmody which is 1000 pages, I first read that book when I was around 10 and it’s such a good book.
M – major book hangover because of
The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater!! Except it was like the best book hangover, not a worrying sad one but one where I couldn’t stop thinking about that book and it made me so happy.
N – number of bookcases you own
I have one really tall eight shelf tall bookcase where all my books live.
O – one book you’ve read multiple times
Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger, I read that book so many times when I first found it
P – preferred place to read
In my room or in the hammock outside
Q – quote that inspires you / gives you all the feels from a book
“If I didn’t want to be here then I wouldn’t have come.” – 7 Souls by Barnabas Miller
This is a really strange book that I didn’t necessarily enjoy reading, but that quote really hit me. The character who says that line is just so content in their own life and their own choices, and I aspire to also be able to do what I want and not waste time on things I don’t want to do.
R – reading regret
Dividing Eden by Joelle Carbonneau. I really didn’t enjoy this book despite really wanting to. I love this author’s other series but this book was a one star read for me.
S – series you’ve started and need to finish where all the books are out
Maybe the Cahill Witch Chronicles by Jessica Spotswood? I read the first one ages ago and really enjoyed it but never got around to the next one
T – three of your all time favorite books
Obernewtyn by Isobelle Carmody
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger
U – unapologetic fangirl for
The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater, this series has had such a big impact on me and I love talking about it with people.
V – very excited for this release
I just did a whole post on my anticipated 2019 releases (here) and I don’t think I can choose just one
W – worst bookish habits
Starting a book and then forgetting about it, I tend to get bored in the middle and stop reading
X – x marks the spot, start at the top left of your bookshelf and pick the 27th book
The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater, which weirdly enough was the same book that Ellyn had as her 27th…
Y – your latest book purchase
I bought a bunch of books before Christmas that included
- The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness
- What if it’s Us by Becky Albertali and Adam Silvera
- Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J Maas
- Iron Gold by Pierce Gold
- Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel
Z – zzz snatcher book (the last book that kept you up way too late)
I haven’t read a book late at night for so long… I kind of miss it. It might have been Nightfall by Shannon Messenger which I read in November / December and really enjoyed.
Ahh I loved your answers! Also, I’m so glad you’re blogging again!

So am I! It’s only once a week so far, but it’s going alright. Hopefully I’ll have some finished books soon so I can actually do a review.
